Fingerprint (or "Biometric") locks are becoming more and more popular over the last few years and many people are
wondering about their cost and efficiency.
Just about all fingerprint locks are made in China. For a lot of them, you can't even find a US distributor for
anyone who will be able to maintain, install or repair the lock.
Just about all of them "look good" but few of them are dependable.
Like anything, A lock is as strong as its weakest part. Virtually all of the fingerprint locks we have seen
through the web have been made very cheaply. Most evident were spring latches that were of cheap manufacture. These
locks can literally fall apart while under even in frequent use; there have been instances where people were unable
to enter their homes until the lock was disassembled and removed from the door.
So far we have only been able to locate one American company manufacturing a fingerprint lock. But, they are
doing an excellent job! we have gone through the entire log and assembly and know that all the areas components are
sound and of good quality. The locks they create work, and work nicely! it's a very nicely put together lock.

With this biometric, you have a double lock, and not the typical cheap spring latch. This provides excellent
security.
It is the only fingerprint lock that LocksAngeles carries. We will not install any other fingerprint lock.

like to install the lock yourself, we'd be happy to give you the necessary instruction and installation tips.
(Since we have installed many of these ourselves, it's easy for us to explain to you just how we do it.)
Many of the various fingerprint locks have designs that are quite similar. Just like Rolex watches you can buy
in Mexico! if you see a fingerprint lock available at a much lower price, it isn't this lock, it is a cheap
imitation. A cheaper lock is an inferior lock and it is eventually going to cause trouble.
